WOW!! An oldie but a goodie!
We all know that our customers always want more than they can justify buying at any given time - put that to work for you! Whatever her "hot button" is, use it as the incentive to get her working with a fun packet. You can decide how generous you are going to be.
Start with these colorful 9" x 12" envelopes. Add look books, pink tickets and samples that your customer is excited about. Almost everyone can enthusiastically demonstrate satin hands! Let's look at the profit picture for a moment. Since different consultants in different geographical areas may have different needs, these packets are available in two denominations: $25 in sales per line or $10 per line. We will look at each kind individually.
The $25 per line packet would probably produce results like this:
- 25 lines x $25 = $625 in sales
- $625 in sales = about $312 in gross profit
- The winning line receives a $50 gift of YOUR choice (classic products?)
- The gift costs you $25
- $312 in gross profit less the $25 gift is $287 in base profit
- From the $287 subtract the wholesale cost of the gift you are giving your customer to determine your net profit
- If, for example, your customer received a full size satin hands set that costs you $14, your net profit would be $273 all for identifying your customer's hot button and motivating her to complete a packet!
If you feel $25 per line is too high, take a look at the math for only $10 per line:
- 25 lines x $10= $250 in sales
- $250 in sales = about $125 in gross profit
- The winning line receives a $25 gift of YOUR choice
- The gift costs you $12.50
- $125 in gross profit less the $12.50 gift is $112.50 in base profit
- From the $112.50 subtract the wholesale cost of the gift you are giving your customer to determine your net profit
- For example, if your customer received an eye makeup remover that costs you $7, your net profit would be $105.50 all for identifying your customer's hot button and motivating her to complete a packet!
